The fabric is really soft and stretchy, a little thin from what you would expect from denim, but I don't see it as bad thing. It is great for warmer temperatures.

I love these, I have so many pairs of ninepine trousers, jeans, t-shirts and zip front sweaters. I always buy jeans with a stretch for extra comfort, the bonus of these is that they look great but I also feel completely comfortable when I have been out to dinner!
